Next stop Sydney - but we need your help!
30th April 2024
We are incredibly proud of our talented pupils who are set to embark on an extraordinary journey as they represent the UK in the Asia Pacific FIRST LEGO Robotics Open Championship, in Sydney, Australia, this coming July.
Among 75 regional champions from schools across the UK and Ireland, teams including CamVC pupils secured impressive 2nd, 5th, and 8th places at the National finals of the FIRST LEGO League Robotics Championship held in Harrogate on 19th April.
First LEGO League is a research and robotics tournament held every year in which the participants work on a joint project for several months as a team. They plan, construct and program an autonomous robot, conduct research on a league of their own choice and prepare a presentation of their findings.
Team CERC Activate came 2nd in the Championship earning their invitation to Sydney.
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) have offered support of £3000 towards the registration fees. However, the team's total travel and accommodation expenses amount to £40,000. If you are able to help these talented children to attend the Open Championship in Australia please contribute via this link: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/26033#!/DonationDetails
