Parent Bulletin 03.11.2023

3rd November 2023

This week's bulletin is available here.

Dear Parents and Carers

We had a very successful first Sixth Form Open Evening last night (even though our 6th form is not yet complete!), we are very much looking forward to welcoming our first cohort of year 12 pupils in September. Thank you especially to our pupil helpers: Acacia, Jake, Izzi, Anna, Sarah and Fauziah and especially our future formers who spoke wonderfully to the prospective students and their parents: Aashrita and Ray!

A reminder that next Thursday 9th November, school will finish at 1:30pm for all pupils as it is our Year 11 parent consultation. If your child is in Year 11 and you have any queries about this, please contact the Year 11 team.

We have lots of trips and activities planned for this half term. On Friday 10th our Year 9 Historians will be heading to Ypres, the music department are having a sleepover next Friday night and GCSE Drama will be heading to the Cambridge Arts Theatre on Tuesday 14th. We also have the Spanish Exchange trip to Zaragoza, where our pupils will be travelling to Spain on the 14th November for the first part of the exchange. We hope all our pupils enjoy these upcoming activities and all the other opportunities not mentioned here!

As the wet and more unpredictable weather approaches, we would encourage all pupils to bring a change of clothes (spare CamVC PE kit or school uniform) for after their PE lesson. This would be most beneficial on days where it is forecast to rain or if pupils are out on the field doing rugby.

Thank you also to all parents that also completed the uniform survey, we had a really good number of responses at 450! We are now going through all the feedback and comments and will report back the results in a future Parent Bulletin.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend and safe Bonfire Night.

Best wishes

Lynn Mayes
