Travel

At Cambourne Village College we encourage all students and staff to travel to and from school as sustainably as possible. 

Our Travel Policy, lays out the expectations of staff, parents and students to, where possible, walk, cycle or scoot to the College. 

For staff, there is also the option of car sharing, with regular reminders about this (and links to further information) in the weekly Staff Bulletin.

 

Buses

Cambourne does have a small number of buses that stop in the town, however, at this stage, no buses go into West Cambourne or past the College. The closest bus stops to the College are along Cambourne Road and School Lane (see below for more information).

Stagecoach

Stagecoach Bus No. 4 runs between Cambourne and Cambridge with a number of stops in Upper, Great and Lower Cambourne. The nearest stop to the College is in Lower Cambourne on School Lane (by the Co-op), is just over a 0.5km walk. The bus also stops on Cambourne Road, about 1km away from the school.

Whippet buses

Whippet Bus No. 18 runs between Cambridge and St Neots. The nearest stop to the College is in Lower Cambourne on School Lane (by the Co-op), is just over a 0.5km walk. The bus will also stop at Morrisons, along Broad Street, about 1km away from the school.

Whippet Bus X2 runs from Huntington to Cambridge. The nearest stop to the College is in Lower Cambourne on School Lane (by the Co-op), is just over a 0.5km walk. The bus will also stop at Morrisons, along Broad Street, about 1km away from the school.

Trains

There is currenlty no railway station at Cambourne.

St Neots train station is 14 km to the west and Cambridge central train station is over 17km to the east.
