Bienvenidos and welcome to Spanish!

Spanish is spoken by more than 500 million people in the world, and it is the official language in twenty-one countries. It is a useful, fun and interesting language to learn.

At Cambourne Village College we view languages as tools for communication and action. We help students learn Spanish so they can communicate and interact with other communities and cultures. We help them become global citizens by developing their intercultural and critical thinking skills.

In every lesson we practise the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. We use a range of online resources to support students with their classwork and homework; there is a list of useful websites below and on the last page of the Key Stage 3 Language Guide which is available to all the relevant pupils electronically.  We use the Viva range of text books. Pupils have electronic access to all the class resources via the College’s CATalogue and on MS Teams.
